At Berger, quality starts in the field, where the peat moss is graded and categorized. The production process undergoes stringent quality control procedures, starting from the harvesting of the sphagnum peat moss and continuing through the bagging and shipping of the peat moss or BM mixes.

The Berger laboratories are equipped with the latest technology and all mixes are tested and must be approved before any shipment is made to the customer. A complete SME (Saturated Medium Extract) analysis is done before releasing a mix to the customer.
